“I have worked in several gyms, training facilities and educational institutions in New Zealand and Australia since early 2013. I have been a personal trainer, a personal training course educator, and a strength and conditioning coach for teams and individuals across a range of sports.
My interests and experiences over the years have led me to work with many clients who are dealing with pain and injuries. I often work collaboratively with physiotherapists and other health professionals to develop and deliver individualized, evidence-based personal training for pain management, recovery, and injury prevention. My goal is to help clients—whether they are recovering from injury or managing ongoing pain—stay active, fit, and strong, with an emphasis on long-term health, movement quality, and functional capacity. Living with a chronic pain condition, and experiencing the rehabilitation process myself after multiple injuries and surgeries gives me a unique understanding of how to approach chronic pain management and late-stage injury rehabilitation.
Alongside this, I have broad experience training athletes at all levels, from recreational to national and international competitors. My primary area of focus is court sports, including tennis and badminton, where I work to optimize performance and minimize injury risk.
With a background as a tennis player, I understand firsthand the physical demands of high-level sport. I specialize in improving strength, explosive power, mobility, and conditioning, helping athletes perform at their peak while improving physical resilience.”

“Viren, affectionately known as “Coach V”, is a passionate, highly skilled personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. After graduating from AUT University with a degree majoring in sport and exercise science, he has since worked with athletes spanning from high performers to developing youth at Athlete Institute.
Coach V also has experience working in a physiotherapy clinic, helping individuals work around injuries safely and enhance their performance while they pursue various sporting and lifestyle goals. Additionally, he has worked alongside the older population, conducting “Age Successful Classes” that focus on improving coordination, balance and strength. With his own sporting background in gymnastics and kickboxing, Coach V can teach these skills to those who have a keen interest.
Coach V takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to training which aligns with the Precision Fitness training philosophy. Through years of expertise in human movement, he is able to create and teach effective exercise prescriptions to address a wide range of specific needs and movement capabilities.”
